Headlight Lens Cover FAQ
What is a headlight lens cover?
A headlight lens cover is the clear polycarbonate outer shell at the front of the headlight. It is also called headlight glass, a headlamp lens or a headlight shell. If the housing, projector and bulbs still work, you only need to replace the cover to make a yellow, cloudy or cracked headlight look new.
Why do headlights turn yellow so quickly in Egypt?
Strong UV radiation and high heat break down the factory UV coating on polycarbonate lenses, and dust and sandstorms scratch the surface. On cars parked outside, yellowing often starts after 3 to 5 years. Polishing removes the damaged top layer, but the haze usually returns within months because the UV coating is gone.
Is it cheaper to replace the lens or the whole headlight?
Replacing only the lens is usually much cheaper. Lalogo lens covers cost from about USD 27 to USD 330 per side depending on the car, and most are between USD 27 and USD 190. A complete genuine headlight assembly often costs from USD 200 to several thousand dollars on premium cars.
How do I choose the right lens for my car?
Match the brand, the model or chassis code (for example Mercedes W213 or BMW G30) and the model year shown in the product title. In Egypt the left headlight is on the driver side and the right headlight is on the passenger side. If you are not sure, send us your VIN or a photo of the headlight and we will confirm the correct part.
Can I install a headlight lens cover myself?
Yes, if you are comfortable with basic tools. Remove the headlight, warm it with an oven or heat gun to soften the old sealant, take off the old lens, and seal the new one with the supplied glue. Our installation guide explains each step, and any garage or auto electrician can also fit it for you.
How long does delivery take, and do you ship outside Egypt?
Delivery takes 1–2 working days in Greater Cairo and 2–5 working days in other governorates from our New Cairo stock. We also export to Libya, Sudan, Algeria, Tunisia and Morocco by road, sea or air; message us on WhatsApp for a freight quote.
